Lulu's Fund Machine
Above - The Lulu's Fund Machine as it appeared in Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. The Glukkon on the front of the machine is Lulu (as a pud). Strangely, the machine does not depict him wearing his trademark glasses. This may be because he left them at home during the photoshoot, but this is currently unconfirmed.
You must make Lulu rich. Filthy rich. For this is the only way he will rise to the status... of GlockStar.
- The Almighty Raisin
The Lulu Fund is Lulu's sole way of making money in Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. It is established after the Almighty Raisin tells Abe and Munch that the only way to save the Gabbiar is to make Lulu filthy rich. In one of the early newspaper headlines, Lulu is seen announcing the Lulu Fund while under Abe's control. Abe then forces several other Glukkons to donate all their Moolah to the fund, eventually raising Lulu to the status of GlockStar.
- The Oddworld Wiki
The Lulu's Fund machine is a device which played an integral part in the plot of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. The story goes that, after Abe rescues Munch from Vykkers Labs and takes him to the Almighty Raisin, the duo are told that the only way they can hope to obtain the last can of Gabbiar is to help: a Glukkon. But not just any Glukkon, oh no. This guy's "A most lazy and incompetent, pitiful excuse for a Glukkon. He is called Lulu".
Only by making Lulu rich (filthy rich, mind you), were Abe and Munch then able to use him and his wealth to win back the last can of Gabbit eggs on Oddworld at the Gabbiar Auction. The final bid was a whopping 3,000,000 Moolah, which, coincidentally, is the exact amount that Lulu made from his fund in the first place.
After the original Lulu Fund subsequently collapsed, the bankrupt Glukkon resorted to a makeshift cardboard billboard hung around his neck with the words 'Lulu Fund Pleaze Help' etched onto it, in a desperate attempt to rebuild his lost wealth. We highly doubt he succeeded in this endeavor.
In Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, there are a number of Lulu's Fund machines accessible by Abe through proxy of a Glukkon. Usually, only one machine (and of course, one Glukkon) appears per level, however Reservoir Row was an exception to this, sporting six Lulu's Fund machines throughout the course of the level. Each machine, once used, activates a teleporter (except in Reservoir Row), which will then allow Abe and Munch to move on to the next level. It is not definitively known how Glukkons transfer their Moolah to Lulu's Fund, however the design of the machine seems to suggest that they input their card details rather than inserting actual cash.
